Ocean Leash is a father and daughter business near Chepstow. We take retired Dyneema trawler net from Newlyn in Cornwall, wash it, and hand-splice it into dog leads. Dyneema is a fibre its manufacturer calls the world’s strongest, so the rope is tough, soft in the hand and quick to rinse after a muddy walk.
This is our slip lead: one loop goes over your dog’s head and the other is your handle, so there is no clip to attach. Ideal for training, gundogs and quick walks. Standard length is 4 ft (about 122 cm) in total, including the loop.
Each lead is handmade and slightly different, because the colours and wear of the net are part of the lead. Custom lengths on request: email oceanleashuk@gmail.com.
Care: rinse in fresh water after the beach and let it dry. Check your lead before each walk and replace it if it shows fraying or damage.
